I have noticed today that Sayers MR - decent little Landy indy out by Heathrow - has closed its doors. I think the guys have simply retired. Shame as they were a nice bunch who offered good service at a reasonable price.

If anyone knows of a local alternative I am all ears as I need to have some work done on the P38.

They had a lovely Harvest Gold 3 door in there that used to belong to their old man - mods included a slightly later Disco V8 and a re-shell in the 2000s as I understand it. Not sure what they have done with it but they barely used it.

I wish we could find out what happened. They just closed their doors one day and none of the other garages nearby knew how to contact them. They had our CD multi-changer in for repair and they closed their doors before I was able to go and pick it up and pay for it!

green lane motor engineering in shepperton

Weymeadows Chertsey Rd, Shepperton, TW17 9NS

Tel 01932 564869 serviced the 110 I had around 20 years ago, still around getting good reviews

sorry to hear about sayers mr, they were the last people to service my series before I started doing the work myself. good down to earth honest bunch.

are you talking about the early range rover they had, I thought that was yellow when I saw it last around 2010

I used Green lane for the clutch roll pins when i first got the p38 as he had been recommended and the service was good .

So your property is still on their premises?
Keep an eye on the place for any notice relating to the closure or re-sale of the premises. Should they have been forced to close for financial reasons that fact must be somewhere in the public domain.
