I have an Iveco pickup and trailer I use in my haulage business, today I had a job to Buckingham, I should have trusted my instincts and not gone but pressure from the customer convinced me to give it a go.
The journey there was fine, as soon as I got unloaded I was knackered, managed to get it to the A421 and made my way along it at 20mph because the council had done **** all about the snow, it hadn't been ploughed or gritted with is a disgrace as it's the main road into the county town of Buckingham.
I had to slow, got stuck in the snow and that was it, dug it out, got 20ft got stuck, dug it out, another 20ft:doh:
at least 4 defenders drove past, miserable gits then a guy in a freelander stops and asks me if I want a tow out, he pulls me out easily and tows me the 8 miles to the A43 which is clear.
I didn't get his name but it was an 06 plate freelander and he said he's got a defender V8 as well.
Thanks I really appreciated it, and to the defender drivers who just drove past, you missed out on £20 there
