Sadly it's time to let the Disco go...

She's running fine for now but I need to get a more modern (boring) family car. Something that I can rely on for long family driving holidays into Europe (3 planned in next 12 months). In part I've been out-manoeuvred by Mrs Higgo. She used to have the sensible family cars and I used to have something more interesting as I can walk to work etc. But as mine got bigger, first an X-Trail and then the Disco, hers got smaller and she's now in a DS3 which will be no fun driving to the Alps with three lanky teenagers in the back.

I've taken quite a bit of help from the members here both in active threads and looking at old ones so just wanted to say 'Thanks' before I go.

I may well be back at some point in the future if/when I can either afford a D4 as a family car or run a D1/2 along side the family car as a toy.

Cheerio!

Dont forget other makes of cars also have issues, some a lot more serious and expensive than the land rovers.
Vag products especially
