Tempermental starting problems Disco 1 V8i

I've got a 1996 Disco 1 V8i ES, which every now and then just won't turn over, battery fine, however leave it go away have a cup of tea, and when you get back starts first time.

Anyone out there have any clues. This will be the first of many questions as it seems to have a mind of its own at times.

ignition control module, there are literally hundreds of threads on V8 starting problems, there is also a list of things to check before asking to find out in what area the problem lies

I'm taking it that you have don the basics like checking the feed to the ignition lead on the starter motor?

My central locking/alarm packed up and it will only turn over when all the doors are shut. Could your problem be the immobilisor?
