has anyone fitted a temp censer to the gearbox and transfer box, this might sound daft but I do a bit of long distance driving a few times a year with a trailer and it might help me keep an eye on them

there is a temp sensor that fits in the t/box on lhs and a warning light in the instrument display ,sensor isnt generally fitted but can be fitted
 
From what year/model does that apply? Just out of curiosity!
im not sure ,but the the plug in the rh pic is where senor goes,wiring is also there on some

The bulb is in the dash aswell for gearbox temp jsutnisnt connected up, well on mine it is.

Might get a sensor and connect it...
 
I used to go contract hay baling with my Leyland tractor.
I knew the gearbox was getting a bit warm when I burnt my leg on the casing!!!:eek:
