Just an observation really...
I've noticed when opening freds in the technical sections like the Freelander sub technical section, the fred has info blocks on the rhs which reduces the width of the posts in the fred. Blocks include a list of who's online etc. The normal Freelander section doesn't have this. Seems to be the same in other forum/sub forums. Some examples:
