TD5 Defender 2001 120,000km. Owned since new. Live in Australia

New starter motor (Britpart) fitted December. Independent LR service agent. Since then there has been an intermittent starting problem. Cranks ok but does not fire. Usually - but not always - will start ok at second or third turn of the key. Problem occurs about one start in 15. Problem more frequent if there is large electrical load (Headlights fans heated rear window). No evident problem once it is running.
When it will not start the tacho goes round to 4000+ rpm as it cranks.

New fuel filter and by-pass valve. New fuel pressure regulator. New fuel pump. Pressure test ok.
New crank angle sensor.
No evident problem on my auto-electrician's (generic) diagnostic computer.
Battery 1 year old and tested OK.

Question one (Generic) Any advice about what to try next?
Question two (Specific) Will power balance figures reveal leaking injector seals?

Thanks
Regards
Peter
PS The temperature here is 35 degrees centigrade almost every day. I doubt that it will be glow-plugs!
