I have had my TD5 5 years and up until last week it has always started absolutely on the button. A quick blip on the ignition and away it goes.
This week has been variable, sometimes it starts first time but others I have to hold the starter over for 3 or 4 seconds and in a worst case it took 3 attempts. It doesn't seem to make a difference whether the car is hot or cold.
I did drive through some water last week, not overly deep, probably 8 inches but that may just be a coincidence.
As a novice mechanic with a limited supply of tools are there any easy things I can check or is a visit to the local Landy garage the best option.
Thanks for any responses
