hi guys got a 2003 td5. now when i start to push the clutch down when it gets half way and i hold it i get this noise like a dry noise best described as if the alternater bearing was going. it goes away if i hold the clutch half way and put some revs on. then it will go completely after i have pushed the clutch down a few times but then returns it dont do it if i fully press it down to floor or if its right off . i even put the transferbox into nuetral and it still does it. now b4 the box comes off as i suspect thrust bearing or even the centre shaft bearing comming out of the centre of the box. could it be something else. as in the past i always found thrust bearing noises usally make a noise all the time even wen the clutch is not pressed in. is there any common probs or can i look else were first.as i really dont want to take the box off.

had the same thing on ours nothing that £1000 wont fix!!!

Spigot bush was the issue, but needed new flywheel and clutch, hence the cost........
