Neither me or my mechanic are any the wiser over this problem. Under normal road running i.e. steady moving away from stop to 50mph plus the disco runs as normal. When under load such as going up a hill the old boy starts to "hunt" for power and waivers between 2.5 - 3k revs only stopping to do so when easing off the pedal. This obviously doesn't give him much power and he starts to slow down as the revs are not pushing him enough. Any one had the same problem? Thanks in advance

Yes had the same ,it was the in tank pump in my case not putting out enough fuel pressure, changed pump problem solved.Could also be other things to do with boost pressure etc

can be the pump, overboost or MAF cut-out...diagnostic is needed cos if it's overboost or MAF there will be fault codes for that if it's the pump no codes recorded, to rule out the MAF disconnect it and drive it so, if it's the same connect it back and disconnect the airbox(AAP) sensor or bypass the wastegate modulator , this will stop the overboost if it's that... also make sure that the wastegate is not sticking

Thanks. Can anyone recommend someone with the right diagnostic kit. My mechanic has a basic set up but not the top Land Rover kit. Don't really want to pay main dealer prices!!
