Hi Everyone.
Wondering if anyone can help in regards to td5 04 model 110 with abs.
Bit of background- I assume that my defender had the 3 amigos at some point as the tc and abs light do not come on with ignition. I am unsure how a previous owner got the lights to go off? Wires at module look factory and untampered. A problem for another day but i assume the handbrake light remains on due to this.
I have been trying to get the handbrake light to function normally in meantime ( see my little diagram).
When car is on key position 2 (not started) the handbrake light will come on and then go off or stay on depending on the handbrake switch as per normal. Upon starting car it stays on permanantly. Cutting wire at position a or b will make the light stay on permanently on position 2 or started and joining a directly to c has same effect. I assume there is some funky wiring in instrument cluster to allow this. Wondering if anyone has come across similar thing?
Thankyou sam.
