Hi guy and girls can anyone give me some information I have searched around for a decent remap company to give me some more low down torque now I have seen companies selling ecu’s with remap a on the classed as plug and play would I need to do anything with the bcu the remap company tell me the ecu is unlocked I’m not sure what they mean by that the ecu is a msb which is the same as mine I’m just curious as to what I would need to do to fit one of these anyhelp would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Those ECU’s are normally de-immobilised so will run on any vehicle. What they won’t have is the injector codes programmed. Nothing needs to be done to the BCU.

However, you’d be better speaking to a proper tuning company for a remap.

the company is called mastraz he does twin map Ecu with a switch to swap from fast road to economy I don’t want it to damage my engine but he does have quite a few good reviews

I bought one of those 7 years ago. I’ve since bought 5 new injectors and got a proper remap.

Yes I know what it is. My injector tips were ballooned, I would imagine durations too high.

save your money and get a proper remap for your vehicle, not a generic one
He is claiming 190bhp+ on the maps he does I will quiz him a bit more on them to make sure it’s not Micky mouse if u know what I mean the trouble I have is I need an ecu I can just swap as I don’t have time to take it in as it’s my work truck

I got mine done at je engineering and it's been superb loads of low down grunt and a top end big enough to make Jordan jealous
That’s what I’m after but I don’t have time to call in and get it done I need one that I can swap out as it my work truck

To be fair to him he does have his own rolling road but you will still need to program your injector codes, or at least send him your codes and ask him to do it.
There are people who operate mobile who would come you at home or work if time is an issue.

I have a lynx evo and I’m sure I read somewhere that I can code injectors it’s just easy for me to swap an ecu after work and use it if that makes sense

I see you opened the same thread here too... how much is the cost of that remapped ECM you mentioned? you can buy working MSB ECU for around 100 quid or even less, send that to a reputable remapper and you can swap that in then, is it manual or auto ?

The remapped ecu he sells is £470 not sure if that’s cheap or expensive thanks.

Speak to Empire tuning. They do a bespoke postal remap with a maximum of 48hour turn around.

Or there are mobile agents around your area that will come to you.

Anything above £250 is expensive for a remap.

+1 my Empire map is good.

Mastaz does a switchable ecu that can flip between an economy map and a smokey power map with a switch. Looks pretty cool. His youtube channel explains it. Some useful vids on there also.
