Td5 clutch problem

Hi everyone been a while since i posted on here but ive seen a discovery for sale but he said theres a problem with clutch, car was stood for about 3 weeks and when he came to pull it out garage he had to pump clutch pedal before he could get any gears? its sold as spares or repair. any ideas what the problem could be? ive searched but cant find anything. Thanks

Similar problem recently, slave cylinder seal leaking. No visable signs of leak but easy to replace and sorted mine out. Could be master cylinder, probably same symptoms.
