I did the EGR mod about 3.5 years ago and it improved how the FL moved off from a standstill considerably.

However, for the last couple of weeks, I have noticed that it is slow to move off again. I have to bare this in mind when moving off from junctions.

Could the EGR mod have failed? Is there anything else that could cause this 'slow move-off'?

Once through the initial movement the car is fine and responds as normal.

TD4 2006.

I will do that when the rain stops.

I perhaps should have mentioned that there is no smoking at all.

It could be a failing MAF sensor when you changed the EGR did you give the manifold a good clean out, if so did you also clean the MAP sensor which resides on the side of the manifold these can get clogged up.
Back to it maybe being the MAF try unplugging it and then see how it drives if it pulls better then this could point to the MAF failing and a new one would be needed, only purchase a genuine MAF you can use a BMW which only the insert is used these are cheaper by about £70 as opposed to £140

Yes, the manifold was thoroughly cleaned using oven cleaner if I remember correctly.
I have the pierburg ??? Maf which came with the Ronbox 2.

As above you maybe able to remove it without taking the manifold off, but it is tight if you do try without removing the manifold have a long magnate ready to hand just in case you drop the 10mm bolt into the engine bay, I note you say you cleaned the manifold did you remove the MAP sensor when doing so ?

I don't remember if I cleaned the Map when I cleaned the manifold and did the EGR mod over 3 years ago.
I know I cleaned the MAF but it didn't do any good, so I went down the route of a Pierburg MAF and Ronbox 2.

I am Just waiting for time off work and decent weather so I can investigate my problem further.

Thankfully, my car is still currently running fine except for the slow take off.

Your hoping, been lashing it down all day here.
Spray the map sensor with carb/brake cleaner.

Current weather, 24C, muggy and looks like rain. Think it's time for a pint of John smiths:).
