Hi there its been a while since I been last here but just looking for some helpfull advice on a strange noise (not unusual huh)
Anyway I have checked the known liast of faults but to no avail as my definition of a sound is different to others.
Anyway I have 2001 TD4 5 Door , good nick 78K FSH.
Recently towed my first caravan (small caravan) anyway after that I started to notice a grumble noise on acceleration from crawling up to 20Mph when turning Right. The noise emminates from rear passenger side wheel and only does it when accelerating. Im about half lock and if I take my foot off accel the noise stops. Recently its started doing it full lock to the left ,same again foot off and noise goes away. If im travelling above 20-30 and turn the same no noise is heard.

I thought it could be CV joint but im not familiar with 4WD cars, the noise I can only describe as a vibration like a notchy grinding. My money is on CV joint but is there anything else I could look at. Is it easy to get parts and replace should it be that.

Many thanks in advance , I just cant explain the noise but the vibration ruble through the car quite bad.

Robsta :)
