TD4 fuel tank capacity

OK how much fuel can you get in a TD4. I know the manual says the tank capacity is 59 litres and I realise that there is the filler pipe to consider here as well. I usually drive the car until the low fuel level light comes on and the fill up soon after. If I do this I can guarantee that I will get more than 60 litres in and the other day it was 65. I have never had a car before where I can put more fuel in than the tank is supposed to hold .

Check you shoes just incase you got a leak!:rolleyes:
 
Mines the same, in the past with other motors I have managed to get the odd litre over but I have managed just shy of 65 litres in my Gaylander - thought the garage was ripping me off at first!!
 
As you have said it is probably something to do with the length of the filler to the actual tank.
