td4 engine smoking

hi can any one help with this one iv got a 2004 td4 runs and drives well, but notest it was smoking and smelt really fumey , it only smokes at about 2500 rpm ,colour of smoke is white ish , iv changed the mass airflow meter , fuel filter , air filter , crank breather filter iv checked the inter cooler hoses for leaks and the head gasket seems ok , now im really out of ideas like i said it starts and drives ok any help with this problem would be great

either your breather filter is blocked, your turbo is fubar'd, your head gasket is gone, you have water in your fuel or you have an injector fault.

My money is on either blocked breather or knackered turbo. It's something you want to sort out asap as it can lead to your engine going bang in an extremely dramatic way.

thanks for the reply ratty , i replaced the breather filter so that sould be ok , if the turbo has gone wouldnt it mean the engine was losing oil ? dosnt seem to be using any , do yuo no how much pressure sould be coming out of the turbo ? is there any way to check this ? sorry for all the questions
