Td4 diesel filter

Removed the old fuel filter today what a pig from the wheel arch .i could not tell on the old filter what way to put the new one in there was no marks or a arrow on it is there any one may no what way the new one goes please.Also the new O4 TD4 you can only start it with easy start is there any good engine internal clean product you can add to clean the engine

Would a old diesel filter stop a td4 engine from start

As far as I know, a blocked or full of water fuel filter could stop anything from starting.

I would try posting it the Freelander section, it might get more attention in there!

I have pick up TD4 04 Freelander from a friend it has been starting cold on easy start. I have change glow plugs air filters and have removed diesel filter to replace next. would I have to do anything like bleeding the filter it's the one on the back wheel arch any ideas would be greatful
