TD200 handbrake sticking

I have taken the handbrake drum off and cleaned and greased the plungers and rollers, but on reassembly the brake still sticks. This is the rod actuated version. A gentle push on rod releases the brake. Linings are showing wear, but look OK.Has anyone any ideas?

i think it may be that the mechanism has worn excessively, or the shoe return springs are weak?

i bought a new mech and it sorted everything. cost £35 odd quid though!!

I fitted the later cable opperated set up, best thing i ever did. iv had no problems.

There should be plenty around with the amount of discos being scraped,
