Hi All just fitted new bearmach standard springs all round and Armstrong shocks to my disco 300tdi 1997.
What a load of crap. worse than the soft original springs I took off. going down our lane which is a bit of a dirt track the disco bottoms out on the bumps stops never had that happen before. Yes the springs are all on the correct corners and shocks the same. So I'm going to buy a terrafirma tf 201 kit which includes tf015 springs for the rear and tf 014 springs for the front with matching tf117 and tf116 shocks. I didn't need to go with the 2 inch lift but this was the only option and I'm fine with the idea now. Has anyone had any experience with this kit on a disco 300tdi? My springs I replaced were the original from new so were a little tired . I've had her for 16 years and can never see me letting her go and this is the worst she's ever handled. I've only had the new stuff on for a week so I'm going to try and get my money back even if it means tacking the motor factor out for a test drive.

Well I got my terrafirma spring kit yesterday morning fitted it straight away and went out for drive later that morning.I went with the tf 202 kit medium load in the end . I was a little worried about it being to hard but its spot on handling is much improved .Braking improved as well because of the stiffer front springs. Was little worried about the caster and the yokes rubbing on the props but everything feels fine. Now I know some people fit the offset bushes in the radius arm after a lift kit is fitted and I had a thought why not fit spacers 5 to 10mm on the radius arms at the chassis end before fitting the first bush. That would move the axle forward just like the offset bushes. Any thoughts ?

The offset bushes offset the caster angle on the axle end. Extending the length of the radius arm at the chassis end will not bring the angle back in unfortunately.

so what the offset bushes do is rotate the axle to bring the caster back inline with original speck. So if you are looking at the drivers front wheel it would rotate the axle anti clock wise is that right?
