Tappet slide damage ?

Hi all,
Getting ready to refit the cylinder head this weekend - I’ve noticed one of the tappet slides is missing a chunk…. It was running fine before hand - I’m keen to get it running again, is it worth the risk of leaving it? Is it straightforward to replace just the slide? I’ve attached a photo!

I wouldn’t take the risk, replace it, also where has that bit disappeared too would be my concern,

Easy to replace , a bolt in top of block retains the outer slide which can be seen in the bore, pull it all out with a bent piece of wire, get a good one from Turner engineering dead cheap. The brass piece will be sitting in the sump
