Tailgate unlocking issue

Hi. I have a Freelander 2. The tailgate has stopped unlocking with the doors. It also doesn’t unlock from the unlock button on dash. It does however open from the boot opener on the fob.
Is this most likely to be the micro switch in the tailgate handle?

Faulty switch, break in the wire or connector come loose. Check them out first.

The unlock button on dash just deactivates the switch.
