Hiya, hope you can help a new member.
Vehicle is a 1989 RR 3.5 on a G plate.
I have fitted a new swivel housing and oil seal cos the old ones were in a bad way but the seal lip doesn't sit on the ball. You can clearly see a gap all the way round
I bought the bits from Rimmers (is it OK to mention this?) swivel housing FRC7065P and the oil seal is part no. 571890P. New gaskets and upper/lower taper bearings too.
I bought the parts online (so didn't speak to anybody, this may have been a mistake!) so If I've got the wrong ones then it's me that's the muppet
Everything fits together fine until you pour EP90 in and it just pours back out through the seal. Have I got the right parts or does it sound like the seal hasn't been pushed home properly? The seal is flush with the back of the housing and a new metal securing ring has been fitted.
Cheers
Steve
