Original 2.25, 5 main bearing petrol engine, fully-syncro gearbox, transfer box and axles.

Documented 84,000 miles and MOT until March 2021.

Significant overhaul completed in Spring 2018 (documented https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/swb-re-chassis.227238/) after several years off the road including;
  • Richards galvanised chassis;
  • GB Springs parabolic springs & bushes;
  • All three (main, engine and rear) replacement wiring looms from Auto Sparks, and new battery wiring;
  • Exterior lighting throughout replaced with Wipac units and headlights upgraded to H4 Halogen bulbs with relayed Boomslang loom;
  • Brake system refresh including shoes, slave cylinders, flexible hoses and Automec copper-nickel hardlines;
  • Rebuilt hubs including seals, bearings and half-shaft bearings, swivel balls and swivel pins on the front axles;
  • Prop-shafts overhauled with new UJ's;
  • Steering system overhauled with new track-rod ends throughout, rebuilt steering box, heavy duty steering arms and new steering relay;
  • Replacement AP clutch and pressure plate including spigot, release bearing, master & slave cylinders and pipework (the was flywheel refaced and ring-gear replaced) together with a new starter motor;
  • Engine fully serviced (including filters, plugs, fuel pump, thermostat, belt, mounts...), replacement Weber 34 ICH carb and Power Spark electronic ignition with coil and spark plug leads;
  • Radiator re-cored with G&M replacement core and original brass water tanks;
  • Rebuilt door tops rebuilt with "Series 3, 90 & 110" rot-resistant channels and original glazing; new mud shields (fitted to promote water egress for rust prevention) and new sill panels; various new weather seals where necessary;
  • 7.50 x 16 Avon Rangemaster tyres on LWB rims including spare (approximately 1,000 miles to date);
  • Replacement rear floor with including under-floor re-enforcement pieces;
  • Various stainless-steel fitting kits from YRM Solutions;
  • New manifold-back exhaust system and fitting hardware;
  • New 3-point inertia seat belts for driver and passenger, and inertia lap-belt for the centre passenger; and
  • Handbrake lock.
In the interests of honesty, there are a couple of bits that need finishing;
  • Hazard warning light switch wiring up,
  • Front seat corner nibbled in storage; and
  • Bonnet, rear door and door bottom steel frames require attention
"Harry" retains his original body and paintwork with a few bumps and scraps but is practically new underneath. He's been in the family since 1994 and will be much missed.

Spares package of various seals, gaskets, nuts, bolts, brackets and filters too numerous to list will go with him. I have have a chronicled history file, owners, workshop "Green Bible" and Haynes restoration manuals and a fully printed parts manual.
