Suspension pump .

Thanks in advance for any help . My l322 vogue 4.4 has a suspension problem . The car has dropped quite low now . On start up the lights come on and the compressor runs for about 15 seconds then the lights go out and compressor stops . Any ideas before I go and get a new compressor . I’ve tried a reset and nothing

sounds like a leak, not a compressor problem if its dropping

It has been down about a week now . Would the compressor not keep running if there was a leak . And I would hear the leak

Have you had any recent work done to it?
It could be the compressor not providing enough air in a specific time and the system stopping. That could explain the no lift.
Also à leak between the compressor and reserve tank/pressure sensor.
Maybe the is a long standing leak elsewhere that could have eventually worn your compressor.

It could be quite a few things that would stop the compressor running, it’s really needs plugging into diagnostics before spending money as it could be more or less than just a compressor.

if you intend keeping it buy your own diagnostics
