hello guys, I am the proud owner of a 2005 3.0 td6. Ive been told that I need a new suspension compressor. My problem is this, having removed the cover for the problematic compressor in order to find the serial number of the part, I found it to be RQL500040. I can't find this part anywhere. So, my question is this, can I use an alternative compressor?. Will the internal fixings be the same?. It's ****ing me off. Any help greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Andy

Thanks for replying. I've watched a YouTube clip on replacing the compressor you've suggested. In the clip it shows a very simple procedure of one electrical clip and one air pipe. The compressor I have is not like this. It has 2 electric clips and 3 air pipes. I've found a part on eBay, part No RQG 500140. it looks as if it would fit. Please excuse my ignorance, I'm crap at this.

This is my compressor. Is it an old model?. I can't seem to find a replacement. It has different connections and pipes to all of the compressors that I can find.

Don't bother phoning them you won't get through but they're pretty good on emailing answers in my experience. Great on delivery too.
If that fails, it's a refurb kit from the bay of e

Thanks for all your help, Guys. I've found a reconditioned one. I think that I'll still get a repair kit and try to fix the old one. Then, maybe stick it on eBay.
Once again, thank you.

Good morning, guys. Is it imperative that I change the relay when putting the reconditioned compressor on?.
Many thanks, Andy
