Any ideas whether a straight through 300tdi exhaust will go on a v8 without messing? (think my downpipes/collectors are longer than on an arfur).

well a v8 has 2 manifolds, diesel has one so eeer no, it would be a different diameter pipe aswell i think

Cheers, it'll be a cat back anyway cos i cant afford tubular manifolds and decat downpipes yet. Was thinking about cutting a piece out of a 300 system and welding it up but if theyre a different bore ill have to think about it...

if your just removing a silencer then its easier to just weld in pipes where the silencers are

Back box is on its last legs, middle box fair but same age so might as well do the lot but having problems getting a mild steel system for a fair price. 300 system £50, v8 system £100 for cat back. Thinking about double S stainless set up for the price.

Best place looks like double s exhausts (lre p 38 this month). Paddock not sure, mm-4x4 reckon they dont exist, rimmers only do full silencer set ups. There are a couple of places round west riding that make custom stainy systems but no idea on price. My old s3 2286 diesel had a down pipe, scaff pole and back box, sounded sweet - might go for that. . .
