Any ideas how to stop theft of headlights from my MK2 disco?
is this something that happens on a regula basis where you live ??
get a garage
is this a bull**** made up post? surely you would have to open the bonnet to remove the headlights hence triggering the alarm? .
With the 2003 disco2 headlights, they are only screw onto a plastic trim, swinging on them and they will snap. Dont get me wrong they go with a crack. Bet its over Rotherham,Doncaster way, been a spate of this over there.

And to think the worst thing ive had to worry about was if any tourists would nick the spare wheel, whats next? unbolting your exhaust whilst your asleep in bed? thank god i live where i do.
How do the nick the cats from a Land Rover??, unbolt the Y pipe from the manifolds.
They will be easy to trace, anyone buying Plusgas in bulk should be suspect.
Or do they use a petrol driven generator and an angle grinder.
Getting back to the subject, what happened to window engraving? Not heard about it recently, but people used to engrave their reg on all windows and some also got their headlights done. There was a story of someone who found his nicked Series on a farm with all windows removed but identified by the engraved lights. Get your lights engraved and put a sticker somewhere pointing it out and it might discourage theft. And if they went ahead it would provide the evidence if anyone bought them.Any ideas how to stop theft of headlights from my MK2 disco?
actually there was a reported spate of thefts of catalytic converters off of vehicles especially 4x4,s last year.
if it can be sold it will be nicked.
