Don't know if I'm posting in correct place but here goes,

Spoke to a women freelander owner who informed me of Two defenders stolen in last few days from liversedge area (West Yorkshire) one from highfield lane and the other from haighs farm, one had the dog in the back and they took that anorl! These are within a mile of me so am gonna have to get some security added (feel like sleeping in it :) to protect it) anyone in Kirklees/Calderdale area keep an eye on your vehicles.

I probably shouldn't pontificate about one product over another on the forum but i have to say that I have installed two skytags over the the last few weeks, one on my own truck and one on my mates and I have to say how impressed I am with this kit! I do vehicle security for a job so know a thing about this stuff. I know a tracker is not going to stop it getting stolen but you have good chance of getting it back.

At 104 quid plus vat from paddock i think its a steal! 15 min install 3 months free subscription 7 quid a month whats not to like?

The one i fitted yesterday was in a body shop with a metal roof and shutter doors and they
even knew which bay it was in!

The stolen dogs a real kicker hope they get the dog back at least.

It's in the wrong section and might be moved to the "stolen land rovers" sub forums.

I can't stress on the importance of car alarms etc., to deter or slow down thieves.

Many will say it can be disabled etc., but the truth is, it's better to have any security device than none at all.

Thieves can break into vaults, so because of this should we should opt to not use vaults any longer and use paper bags to store our money at the banks?

Steering wheel disc type locks come out well on the attempted theft polls though nothing is infallable.

Tracker is the best chance of getting it back. Worth talking to Ryder on here about trackers

Oh and PS....Moved

Fitted Skytag yesterday
When phoning for confirmation of signal they could pinpoint it to exact location, even though it was inside a steel clad building, well worth the money in my opinion :)
