That has to be a parts theft…Barstewards

Such a distinctive and large vehicle, yet it has disappeared into thin air, like all the others.
Nobody saw where it went? You'd notice a vehicle like that driving/being towed down your street, yet nobody ever sees where they go to be stripped/loaded into containers

Maybe the thieves have a large version of Harry Potter's invisibility cloak

i have noticed that Defender prices are up since I owned one 20 yrs ago. I suppose the Series/Defender LRs lend themselves to being stripped (bolt off) parts?

Bolts makes it easier but all cars can be stripped of sellable parts. A welded shell limits what you get without cutting.

There appears to be more Tdci landies being stolen than others at the moment, especially station wagons. I think it’s due to the better doors being fitted. They’re being stripped for parts. A four-door double cab has many of the same parts and the double cab roof, which is also sought after.

So many doors are being stolen, where are all these doors going?
l never see any for sale on any internet sales forums.
TDCi Defenders don't generally need new doors, so these doors must be going on older Land Rovers.
Anybody seen an old 90 or 110 with new doors?
So where are all these doors going?

I think it’s organised gangs, potentially selling on or supplying the used parts industry. Some are being stolen to order or sold outside of eBay etc.

Not guilty, my doors are worse than Swiss cheese
