My Dads Land Rover (Owned for 26 years) was stolen in the early hours of the 20-12-17 from Hemel Hempstead. Noticeable features are the scaffolding in the rear tub. Reg E544CUR. I found what was left of the ignition barrel where it was parked :(

It was also fitted with a V8 3.5 EFi from a 1989 range rover. It also has a very unique rear tail gate, with a 400000 mile club sticker!! and darker green drivers door with no front grill.

Any help in finding this landy will be so much appreciated! Ant

That's really bad news - it looks quite unique complete as you point out, but suspect its already in pieces...bastids, and fingers crossed I'm wrong.

My own views on crime & punishment would make the average scumbag's hair curl

I hope the LR is recovered intact, it's not as if it's a common or garden example of the breed either.

Hi All,

Just to update on this thread that my dads Land rover has been found. The idiots had put Diesel in to fill it up. And well a V8 don't like that! it was only about 6 miles away but had been used by the looks of it to steal a caravan from a farmers field as there was lots of long grass and hay in the cab!

Not much damage apart from the usual to doors and ignition, and of course the wrong fuel!

Cheers, Ant

Glad you've got it back. :)

Brilliant, I like a happy ending, all too often we hear about em getting pinched and never hear any conclusion.

GPS tracker a must, DiscLok & Pedal Lock/clutchclaw etc,.

I know they're an inconvenience but better than needing to replace the vehicle again.

Awesome news.... considering..... I picked up a disk lock the other day as I had nothing keeping mine safe...hope it’s enough being on the drive with that on
