morning folks,

Trying to remove the pas box on my 1986 300tdi conversion. need to remove the pipes and can get a 5/8 open ended spanner on the box to reservoir pipe but bugger all leverage room to undo. Anyone got any advice on removing the pipes from the box? ta

Pipe spanner?
 
Was hoping to do today and i live in cumbria so doubt anyone sells a 5/8 pipe spanner on a saturday. worse case i'll cut the pipes and replace but again would rather do today.

That could be your easiest option, cut the pipe and use a socket. I doubt if the new pipe is a lot of money.
 
Take the pipes off at the other end and remove them easier when the box is out. Replace them on the replacement box first too, maybe.
 
It's a real bitch ain't it? Did it last Saturday. Recently replaced box, totally leak-free when purchased, ****ed oil all over the place. Needed a total re-build and machining of the shaft.
