Steering and front prop

Hi, does anyone run their Series without a front prop? how’s the steering?

I’ve not done much more to mine for quite a while as I’ve been finishing another car off, however before that I found my steering to be wayward. I don’t expect it to be great, but it was not good, so, I have replaced everything. All joints, rebuilt relay, steering box, changed tyres to radials, new swivels…

it’s a lot better, but I think there’s improvement to be had. I was wondering if the front prop being absent would make a difference? That, plus maybe the spring links, although they seem to be ok. They’re standard springs too.

You can run fine without the prop, it only spins free when driving in two wheel drive. Swivel pin preload at the correct amount is important to prevent wandering.
