DONE a search on here can't find anything usefull

Had a few problems with the earth on starter motor recently, turn key not happends

I've cleaned the earth points with a wire brush and it's been better but still failed a few times.

So now looking at changing the braided earth to a new copper wire, as it's a fairly big current going through I was wondering, do I buy a replacement braided wire? Or put in a 25mm cable, next size up cable I have in stock is 90mm (might be a little overkill :p)

Anybody know why a braided cable is used? Flexibility? Better cooling?

Thanks all :)

Thanks fanatic, I'll see what I can get, all the cable I have is tri rated but not got any 35mm, I don't think.. Have to dig deep into the stock room.

Could it possibly be your immobiliser playing up and causing it not to start.

Thanks but I'm quite sure it's the earth cable as one time I had a friend turn the key and hold it whilst I wiggled the cable, it fired up after moving the cable slightly.
