well for a few days I have had the SRS light on so yesterday I decided that tomorrow I would have a good look so disconnected the batter to run down and charge in the airbag system as the srs light is either airbags of seat belt tensioners , I took the steering wheel apart and as I pulled the front middle off the lead came of the airbag and the circular wire coupler was very loose, I had a spare one from my old freelander I never used I put that on, and put it all back together put the battery back on and switched the ignition on DAM it was still there then I thought I will find my icarsoft out plugged it in and went through the system and bingo it said airbag resistance was high so was it the plug had came off I will never know it also said bad earth on bulb ,with out looking I went into delete faults and now it gone, I had read before about the earth for the dash not being good I do not know but sometimes my radio goes very crackly I will look soon.

Bad earth on bulb could be real tail lights...mine fill up with water like a fish tank and corroded all the connections. ..I had to drill a little hole in their bottoms to let it drain out.

Well I had to let you know there is no sign (touching wood) of the srs light staying on I really think it could be the steering wheel airbag connection as it was very loose but all noted on the water in the back lights my wife's car a 1998 freelander1 1800 used to get water in the lights so I managed to get another set and no water any more
