Hi all
Today i was reversing my 300tdi manual discovery and had to reverse of a curb which isnt that hi but as soon as i did the clutch pedal got stuck down (engaged) but i could still select gear as i had to select 1st to get me out of the middle of the road. So i got down and had a look and i pulled the clutch pedal up and all was ok, but arfter driving about a mile down the road i was getting a high pitched squeal only when i dipressed the clutch pedal whilst slowing down to knock her out of gear. But i dont get any noise if i just depress the clutch whilst staionery with engine running.
So has any one got any ideas as to what this could be?
many thanks
kyle
UPDATE
I have just taken the land rover out and she seems to be back to normal, but there is a very faint squeal that i believe is from the gearbox which disapears as soon as the clutch is touched even just as the slack is taken out of the clutch, so would i be right in saying that this is possible the release bearing?
Many thanks kyle
