Can you spray it?

What thinners do you use?

Can it be sprayed over Cellulose Primer?

how did he get on with the painting as im going to paint nato green but try saturn instead of matt

its [EMAIL="[/EMAIL] that would be great tim but got my nato green today also zinc grey primer the nato green is satern not matt as iv been told its harder wearing also eaiser to clean than the matt sooo will let u know fingers crossed nice day tomorrow will get a start on back door

Hi only thing I know of the NATO paints are not health friendly so you may need to use the full air fed breathing systems other than that they should be standard two pack paints

so is nato the same as the olive drab that the brit army used and maybe still does. cos if it is, the way the army applied it was with a huge paintbrush. and it sure wasn't two pack. you could either have matt black or olive drab both came as an anti-infared paint not that that is much use to you unless yer into ram raiding.

Hi It's the same paint. If it's a paintbrush job then it's gonna take time, anyhow I'd suggest air fed breathing equipment.

air feed breathing equipment charlotte! mines outside front door getting done with a netto paintbrush i ownly use mine for work landscapeing so chances are paintwork will be bashed by next week! put grey zinc primer on back door then its had to coats of nato green saturn and it looks fine as long as it dosnt rust away il be happy

g'day
why the rush on air fed breathing stuff? have you bought a joblot of it? if it was that deadly 85% of the worlds armed forces would be dead.

Just found this forum, looks good! My brother sprayed my old V8 SWB IIA with Nato green years ago. I'm sure he thinned it with white spirit, sound daft I know, but I'm sure that's the case. I'll check with him in the morning.

About to paint my baby in Nato Green. With a brush and roller, dont worry about spraying to much hassel ( i used to be in the trade) Lets face it, it is`nt a Rolls Royce.

as far as i can remember and i'm sure slob will vouch for this but i seem to think you can paint it on anything without any prep whatsoever. when i was in gulf 1 we were blowing em over in desert cam as they came out of the plane with only a piece of cardboard as masking for the windows.

you can ..but it depends how crap a finish you want..if you want a standard army finish just spray on top of what is there, if you the delux reme finish then put yer paint in a bucket and stand about 6 feet away and just throw the paint in the general direction of the vehickel you wish to paint. oh and slabber grease on the lights and windows. this stops the paint sticking to the glass. after the paint is nearly dry just hit the glass bits with the pressure washer, this removes the grease and attached paint; leaving you with a landy any squaddy would be proud of. and don't fergit to paint yer wheel nuts red
