Afternoon gents,

Having a bloomin great bank holiday weekend. Spent nearly all of it under the landy, though choice. The living room floor is covered in tools. Ahh, the joys of being single:D:D. Asked my sister if she had a self cleaning oven me and my manifold could borrow for a wee while, but she was not impressed:(

Anyway, just about to wire in my spotlights (A bar attachment). Looks pretty straight forward (wiring into full beam, without a separate switch. I'll work that out later).

But, question is, do I really need to take power to the relay from the battery? I was going to tap in to power from the headlight wiring.

Just though I would ask for someones recent experience rather that re-invent the wheel:)

Cheers

I would not do that as the headlight wiring will probably melt, get the relay fed from the B+ terminal on the alternator, or the live connection on the starter if you don't want to run a wire all the way back to the battery.

I wired mine in with a relay under the bonnet had a switch wire off the beam and took my -tive +tive off the alternator easy enough. :)
