Apparently, I'm having an electrical fault with the automatic gearbox as indicated by simultaneous flashing of both sport and manual mode dash lights - owner's handbook pg 63.

Anyone had a similar problem or know what I'm up against, here?

Also, my driver's window is creeping down about an inch - the motor makes a noise, but nothing happens - it won't go up or down.

I look forward to your comments - thanks in advance.

Hi your window fault is easy the qudrant breks off the window regulator normally hear a bang in the bottom of the door when it goes the spot welds break but if you drill them and reweld will be as good as new.the gearbox problem well could be a number of things really need to plug it in and see not good to guess but there are a couple of sensors that go down also had loose wires on the sensors but you will need to drop the gearbox sump to get to valve block so plug in first place to go sometimes when you turn the engine off and on again it will reset the lights but they come back on again very soon.

Hey, Thanks a ton. I went to the dealership and limped away with a $1500 repair bill (52K maintenance, replaced windscreen, break work & the other problem). So for now the window is kept in place by the suctioncups on a child's window shade until I can have it fixed. Though I now think I can handle it - I'll let you know how it turns out.

The sport/mode flashing and the "limp home mode" were due to a weak battery. Fella's, if this ever happens to you, check the date on your battery - it may just save you $220 in diagnostics.
