hi guys and girls hope everyone is ready for xmas right my 1993 Range Rover 300tdi has a speedo problem it's not working. I no these have a speedo transducer but not sure where it's mounted. Can anyone help so I can find it and check it's not the cable to it or the transducer.

The cable is driven from back of transfer box. Follow the cable transducer is on the other end of it. AMR3386 is the part number. Maybe more likely cable has given up than transducer.

To the OP, you say no speedo and no rev counter. Chances are the problem is the printed circuit in the instrument binnacle. According to the wiring diagram I have for a '91 hard dash the rev counter and speedo share power and ground, power appears to be via the low coolant and low fuel warning units both of which are fed from pin 9 together with all the warning lights.

Do all the other gauges work? As far as I can see, revs, speed, fuel and temperature are all on the same part of the printed circuit together with the panel illumination. If I had to take a wild stab in the dark at it, I would suspect an iffy earth. I am afraid the best I can suggest is to pull the instrument cluster and disassemble it, inspect the printed circuit for any breaks then check/test all the ground connections.

If nothing works on the instrument binnacle, no warning lights etc then possibly you have lost the 12v ignition feed.
If you remove the binnacle and looking at the back you will see the harness connectors across the top. On the right hand side (above the rev counter) the pin numbers start at 1 and then run across to the left and end at pin 26. Pin 9 is 12v ignition feed, pin 26 is earth negative, pin 23 is speed transducer input, pin 10 is tachometer signal.

If you have a soft dash then you will need to find the appropriate wiring diagram as it will be different.
Hope that helps.
