I am thinking that the driver side front speaker is a lil shot.
I'm not exactly sure.
Does anyone know how to remove the speaker?
I am also working on getting a forum going on my custom installation of a 7" Alpine monitor and navi/dvd system.

but while i wait for the slotted DIN removal keys for the Navisystem deck, I can shange out the speaker.

Hello :)
You have to remove the door panel, which involves taking the interior door handles off. Once the panel is off it's pretty self explanitory. I think they are tork screws holding the panel on (can't remember, it's a while since I did mine)
If you can get a Haynes manual it's all explained in there.
 
Always worthwile investing in some quality sound deadening and anti drumming pads while the door panel is off too.;)

Make sure to remove first the top of the triangular black plastic piece that covers the back of the outside mirror. If you try to remove it from the bottom you could brake off two plastic hooks, remove the top first and lift the cover up.
 
its really easy,but as said make sure you remove the triangular mirror plastic first,did mine with a bulk standard cross point screwdriver,dont worry about the attatchment pegs comming off,they reattatch really easy to the panel,hope this helps
 
What's that white thing below the speaker that as the original speaker holes configuration ? Did it came with the new speakers ?

Does anyone know the dimensions of the speakers in the S-Wagen (Front and Back)?

I want to upgrade all of them to something nice but want it to all fit nice.

I've just got an td4 on an '03 plate. The front door speakers dont work :eek:( i've taken them out but there f@:ked. guess the previous oner installed a more powerfull radio and popped them! So my question is - where's the best place to get raplacements? had a look in halfords but non of the fixing holes matched up and the staff didnt think you could get mounting brackets ;os

I have a a set of 4 speakers from a 2006 in very good nick! i'm open to offers :)
