Disco 1 Sounds like someone blowing a recorder underneath.

Yes I have already checked there's no school child caught up underneath.get this sound just above 2250 rpm but only for the first mile or two and only happens under load so I would guess turbo leak tho no loss of performance hoses look good intake gasket?

Might be an exhaust manifold leaking at the cylinder head joint due to warping

Just ordered a manifold/intake gasket hopefully will stop as bloody loud

If you do replace the exhaust manifold gasket too, get it skimmed or a new one for about 100 quid, new gasket wont fix it.

Ok thanks I think I have found the problem there's a little soot patch on the exhaust gasket...well to be honest thought this would come back to haunt me as had to change the head and got a "recon" one only found out after fitting that one of the exhaust studs had striped the thread inside the head. recon head....my arse!!!!.
