Guys,
I'm about to buy an LUK slave cylinder for the TD4....
Is this the right thing to do? or is there a much better and reliable slave cylinder?
Thanks,
Wayne

Just done clutch and slave on 2004 TD4. Used LUK gear and all fine.
Also used LUK clutch on my Transit wich was supplied by my local Ford franchise so wouldn't doubt the quality.

If I'm going to ask a question, I need to follow the bl00dy advice :-(
Although I ordered an LUK part, it wasnt in stock... so I went for an OEM part.....
fitted the engine and box.. started it up... and crunch..... unable to get fisrt gear without it crunching.
i thought - oh... I will bleed it up....
Nope!!!! - no matter how loose the bleed nipple is.... it won't let ANY fluid out....
I tried back bleeding, standard bleeding and pressure bleeding.... - not a fracking thing!
THIS TIME I WILL GET AN LUK PART!!!! even if it skints me!!!

it ended up NOT being the slave cylinder..
the gearbox selector shaft was goosed on the inside of the box.
I ended up having to fit another box to the car!!! :-(
Although I did eventually buy a LUK slave.
