my first disco is this a common place for them to go? can you bu the torsion bar bracket or is it something I will have to make myself?

Oh dear, thats a part of the chassis so not a replacement part, I think based on the photo it's a cut and replace from another chassis, this is an issue I'm not familiar with so first time I've seen such a problem.

Thanks for your reply. It's my first disco and don't remember coming across it when doing research into buying one but thought I would ask as you guys know a lot more than me. Will get it in the air tomorrow and have a better look in daylight and get some Better pics.

I'm pretty sure that during your research you would have been told that after you'd checked the underneath for rust, check it again for rot.
But yes, it does look like your going to have to get welding.

Thanks for your response Got a few old fords mate so I know all about rust and rot. I know it's going to need welding my question was can you get the bracket. And is it common to go in this area? The car is pretty solid but not been under it since last mot. Just one of those things. Luckily got 2 more 300tdi am breaking so will just cut out the bracket and weld it in if it's not available.
