smokey discov 3

hi got a discov 3 no power and black smoke 05 reg done 130000

Soot clouding?
Check boost hoses for splits=overfilling and black smoke

Failed EGR valve,undo the pipes where they join the EGR throttle body and fire it up,the one that smokes is the failed side.If you take the 2 screws out of the bit that actually bolts into the throttle body you can crimp it shut with a hammer on a flat surface.Put it together and drive - done loads of them,its a 10min job.
