Hi

I have a Range Rover Vogue (Diesel) 2005. When I turn the heater on smoke comes un under the bonnet, like the car is on fire and really smells.

Any ideas!!!!

Your fuel burning heater is a diesel fired water heater that warms up the cooling system. This helps defrosting and gets the engine up to temp quicker, which is good for the engine. There will be smoke emitted from somewhere and it will smell of diesel fumes. Your preheat widget will get your engine warm before start up, which in this weather is well recommended.
