Just had a few questions re: 02 Landrover Freelander SE.
My radio is just static, wondering if I just replace the screw in antenna and that'll do or if there's something special to reprogram it?
My engine light is on, prior to my coolant problems, and wondering if it's just my o2 sensor? And what exactly that do for my vehicle or prevent what from happening?

And food for thought, not sure which years but these ones have a faulty thermostat which I replaced, the whole housing and 2 coolant pipes and it solved a bad leak in the valley. And I replace the manifold gaskets anytime I take this apart as a precaution no matter when I last did. Not expensive, just need time.
But if anyone else has answers or questions! We can all help fix our problems.

Check the coax and connector for corrosion at the bottom of the aerial. You remove the interior light to access the bottom of the aerial.

I'm guessing it's a V6?
You need a read the codes stored in the ECU, as this will tell you the cause of the light. ;)

The thermostat is cheap plastic BMW garbage, and can leak randomly. I considered them a service item, changing it every couple of years, or at the first sign of coolant loss.

Thank you so much for responding! ! As far as the o2 sensor goes we had the check engine light tested and it is an o2 sensor, I just don't know which one. I wonna say upstream but then I don't know if it's bank 1 or 2.
If I was to not replace it could it mess with something serious?

The ECU will report bank 1 sensor 1 or bank 2 sensor 1.
Bank 1 is the normally the bank where cylinder 1 is located, so on the KV6 that's on the left front, as you are looking at the engine. So bank 1 O2 sensor is at the sensor in the exhaust, which comes from the front of the engine.
