Sloppy gear box

Hi guys just got a 99 discovery td5 manual it had gear linkage done a month a go. The other day something has happened it's hard to get in to gear reverse is the worst and gear stick is everywhere like it's ****ed any ideas ?
 
depending on how you mean,yoke has come to pieces or loose or bias plate has broken ,both need console out to get at the gear box top
 
no, remove hi/lo knob and gaiter, pull gear stick gaiter and remove bolt securing gear stick, prise of switch panel cover remove the 4 screws remove hand brake cable pin,undo 4 screws holding console 2 at front 2 in cubby box ,you then drill out the pop rivets holding tunnel cover and undo the 4 bolts holding hi/lo lever

So bias plate will stop you getting certain gears and reverse?
