Now I'm spending more and more time under the bonnet I notice more and more...

Today I saw a very slight split in the "flexible air intake duct" under the "breather valve" (aka "depression limiting valve" or simply "TOP") - phew! The pictures should help.

The split is about 1cm long and looks like its been there a while.

Can I forget about it, can I patch it or is it a replacement job?

Lastly, should I be concerned about the oiliness around that pipe?

Thanks

can I patch it Possibly, but unlikely to be a permanent fix
or is it a replacement job? YES

pleasure .. ;)

I've been told that the oil is probablyy due to the 'TOP' (depression valve) oozing oil.
I have identified that as part number LLN100140L.

Can anyone tell me the part number for the hose with the split?

Cheers
