Hey,

Gave my box a complete refurb over the summer..not a bad job really. (Just make sure you grease the bearings enough so they don't fall all over the place.. scratching around finding bearings on a workshop floor at 2am isn't the most glamarous thing to be doing at that time..). Got all my parts from Famous Four - Independent Land Rover Parts, Accessories, Sales & Servicing Specialist - Land Rover Parts, Land Rover Accessories, Land Rover Vehicle Sales, Servicing & Repair, did everything I needed, for part numbers consult the parts catalogue - though buy a few more spacers / washers than you'll think you'll need, at varying thicknesses.

For me, that was the most time consuming part of the process, adding / taking away spacers to get the right 'free play' in the box, but you do want to get it right...

Oh as a side note...I added locite sealer to the main gasket for side over, as I wasn't overlly confident about the replacement gasket (even though was genuine L/R part), certainly hasn't done any harm..and can see no leaks.

Have fun!

Matt

Easy enough to get the bushes, seals, gaskets, balls and tracks but a bit more difficult to find the column and nut I found. The spiral on my column was badly worn in the middle but I found a genuine one on ebay for a reasonable price. I replaced all the internals for about half the price of a recon but it cost me hours of searching for the bits.
